Skiing in Crested Butte offers all kinds of terrain - expert, intermediate, and beginner - and snowboarder heaven, with jumps and half-pipes. There are all kinds of activities for children at the base- ice skating, sledding - check it out at the the Adventure Center.
New! Zipline tours will start on opening day. Take your mountain adventure to new heights this summer with the Crested Butte Zipline Tour. This one of a kind adventure includes a practice area and 5 zip lines ranging in length from 200 – 300 feet connected by features or “events” such a suspended wood bridges and towering platforms. The guided zip line tour, including the five zip lines and several unique features, is an approximately one-and-one-half to two-hour-long experience.

Nordic Center

Take a break from the slopes and do some cross-country skiing at the Nordic Center!

Whether you have never cross country skied or could use some fine-tuning, a lessons can make all the difference. Our Nordic Center has a team of friendly, PSIA certified cross country ski instructors that will introduce you to the sport or take your skiing to the next level!

Then use your skills to skate to the Yurt for a Magic Meadows Dinner!

There is an ice skating rink that is free - open January and February. And... there is a sledding hill! The Nordic Center is located to the left at the entrance to Crested Butte as you drive in to town. Take a quick left and then another after a few blocks. It hugs the side of the mountain.

Sleigh ride Dinner at Uley's Cabin

The Uley’s Sleigh Ride Dinner is offered Wednesday through Saturday. It is both a fine dining experience and a mountain adventure. The beauty of this particular adventure, is it’s accessible to all ages, skiers or not. It allows people that don’t ski or ride the opportunity to see the mountain in winter, an opportunity many non-skiers aren’t afforded.
Cozy blankets await you on the sleigh, and as you chug up the mountain, with the snowy trees illuminated by alpenglow and the headlights of the snowcat, your adventure is reminiscent of being in a snow globe. Your destination is a warmly lit cabin in the woods, built in memory of Uley Sheer, a miner, moonshiner and mountain man to boot, who eked out a life in a small cabin on Forest Hill. Though his residence was a quaint 6 X 8 foot cabin, your digs for the evening is something much finer—a large cozy cabin warmed by a proper fire, trimmed with décor reminiscent of the life Uley lead in the woods.
The entire meal has a French flair, making each course unique, yet familiar. Familiar in that the cuisine is definitively Colorado, evocative of the valley in which you’ll be dining. We invite you to experience something that is both adventurous, yet comforting. A true mountain past time: enjoying an incredible meal with loved ones as the fire crackles inside a cabin tucked into the trees, while the snow comes down. Welcome to Crested Butte.

Dog Sledding

The Lucky Cat Dog Farm is the longest continually operating dog sled tour business in Gunnison County.

Our goal is to share with our passengers the thrill and excitement of the dog sledding experience. Our trips are designed to be fun, exciting, educational and even relaxing; amazingly, they are many things to many people.

What we do well is to create a trip for you and your family that will allow everyone to participate at whatever level they wish. If your idea of fun is to stand on the back of the sled and see the world from the Iditarod point of view, we can do that.If you want to snuggle in the sled bag and watch the world go by while you relax to the rhythm of the dogs, we can do that also. Cross Country Skiing

The Crested Butte Nordic Council (CBNC) serves residents of and visitors to Gunnison County throughout the winter months, offering cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing,guided tours and sledding. Our mission is to provide individuals of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn, enjoy and improve in the sports of cross-country (Nordic) skiing and snowshoeing.

Our 50-kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails meander through the outskirts of Crested Butte, a quaint Victorian mining town and National Historic District. Ski or snowshoe along the East River, through forest, or up the Mt. Crested Butte Recreation Path. Our trails, groomed for both classic and skate skiing, can accommodate all ability levels – novice to advanced.

Creekside Spa

The Creekside Spa at 120 Elk Ave. in Crested Butte, offers Swedish massage, deep tissue, hot stone, ski and sport massage, altitude adjustment massage, couples massage, mother to be massage, and four-handed massage (!).

I LOVED THIS SPA! Their prices are less, they are a small shop with royal treatment, and they open a window so you have a massage while you listen to the river outside and the birds singing in the trees. it is an amazing experience. They are wonderful. Don't think twice.

Elevation Spa and Gym

The Elevation Spa at 500 Gothic Rd. in Mt. Crested Butte, offers massage ( Swedish, hot rock, "skiier's relief", couples, sports, deep tissue, aroma and more), facials (European, gentleman's and more), and a wonderful fitness center. The fitness center offers 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month memberships, which include lockers, pool, hot tubs, steam and sauna. The fitness enter is free wth a spa treatment.
