Take a zipline tour with Crested Butte Mountain Resort in the morning and then head down to our place for whitewater rafting on the Upper Taylor in the afternoon. This full day of adventure is a great value at just $104 pp ($106.16 with tax). The zipline tour consists of 5 ziplines, each progressively longer and faster. The tour does require a short hike up to the first platform so some measure of fitness is required, as well as closed toe shoes. Zipline participants must weigh between 70 and 250 lbs. The tour lasts for approximately 2 hours. There will be enough time for you to grab a quick lunch and then head south (about 25 minutes) to check in at Three Rivers Resort for rafting. Check in time is 12:45 pm.

Hiking in (Heaven) Crested Butte - Hiking trails of unearthly beauty are everywhere in Crested Butte there are easy trails like the Lower Loop, sturdier trails like the Upper Loop, and amazingly difficult trails… Once again, I recommend you get a book with maps! The Base Area offers more than great music in the evenings. The chair lifts run all summer and into the fall. Hook your mountain bike to the back and bike down! You can rent bikes at the base. Or hike down! The view around Crested Butte valley is so amazing. Summer Lift Rides -Ride the Silver Queen or Red Lady Express to the top of Crested Butte Mountain. From the top of the Silver Queen you may hike to the Peak of Crested Butte Mountain, have a picnic or simply ride the lift back down. The Red Lady Express carries bikes to access the many trails and roads on Crested Butte Mountain. The first weekend in August is the annual Crested Butte Art Fair! The main drag, Elk Avenue becomes filled with artists and booths from all over. There are bands, excellent food demonstrations, dancing, and lots of happy people. This is also the weekend of the local Rotary's Rubber Ducky Race. Buy a little yellow duck and cheer as zillions of little yellow ducks wind down thru the river that runs thru town. One of the best spots to watch is the back of the Eldo bar. Each tour includes light to moderate hiking as you follow your interpretive guide up the winding footpaths of the Gothic town site to research meadows, forests and streams. Tours are for adults (and for kids age 12 and over with an adult).
