Sept. 1-30 = "Inherent" by Emily Palmquist - and "Unnatural Selection" by Robert Wilhelm -Center for the Arts Exhibition-Join us for the opening reception on September 8, 5 - 7 pm. The show will run September 1 - 30. Palmquist + Wilhelm explore surrealistic deviations of natural environments.

Sept. 2 - The Grand Traverse Mountain Run -Come run the Grand Traverse Mountain Run race in Crested Butte this September
Sept. 2,3, 9, 10 = "Twelfth Night " 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 716 Elk Ave., CB Depot-A shipwreck, love, and comical confusion take center stage in “Twelfth Night”, one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved plays! “Twelfth Night” comes to vivid life at the Crested Butte Depot, on Saturday and Sunday, September 2, 3, 9, and 10. The shows are free and open to the public! Show time is 5:30 p.m. and will run rain or shine. Director David Flora leads a cast of Gunnison Valley actors including Annie Flora, Genevieve Bachman, Tricia Seeberg, David Flora, Jimmy Utley, William Spicer, Patrick Force, Tristan Buss, Bruce Eckel, Graeme Duke, Addie Pond, Jack Gibbons, and Julia Wilson. Sept. 2 = First Friday Family Film - 12:30 - 3 pm.-Join us on the First Friday of Every Month for free Kids Movie at the Crested Butte Library! We encourage you to bring pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, or whatever you need to make yourselves comfortable, to watch a movie upstairs at the library, “sleepover style.” EVERYONE is invited; children must be 9 years old to attend without an adult.

Sept. 3 = Watchhouse - Live at the Center - 8-11 p.m. at the Center for the Arts-Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) is an Americana/folk duo based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Sept 6,13 = Yoga in the Garden- at the Wedding Garden, noon to 1 pm.-The Town of Mt. Crested Butte in partnership with the CB Yoga Coop is excited to announce it’s second year of Yoga in the Garden! Join us every Wednesday from June 28 through September 27, 2023 from 12 pm – 1 pm at the Mountain Wedding Garden Pavilion for a FREE community yoga class! Some supplies will be provided but we encourage you bring your own mat and water bottle! Please arrive early to allow yourself time to get settled in as class begins promptly at 12 pm. Donations to CB Yoga Coop are welcome!

Sept. 9 = Pearl Pass Tour = Sept. 9-10-to truly embrace the mountain bike culture, you should put the Pearl Pass Tour on your bucket list. It will be painful. It will be arduous. But in the end, you will have an understanding of what the forefathers of mountain biking did for the sport and truly appreciate how far technology has come.
September 10 = Bridges of the Butte---September 10 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm-The Adaptive Sports Center is hosting their 18th annual Bridges of the Butte! This townie tour is like none other. Grab your best costumes and get ready for a 4 hour bike ride from noon-4pm on September 11th! Funds raised during Bridges of the Butte will help to provide affordable lessons, state-of-the-art equipment, and highly-trained instructors in many disciplines and disability adaptions.
Sept. 10 = Devon Allman and Donavan Frankenreiter at the Center for the Arts - 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Sept. 14 = Field Trip to Gunsight Bridge 4-6 p.m.-The Crested Butte Land Trust invites you to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the new Gunsight Bridge! Join us for a group bike or hike to the bridge where we’ll raise a toast to this beloved community resource and learn about the work that made this project possible. Can’t join us for a bike or hike? Let us know if you can meet us at the bridge at 4:30 PM for light refreshments! Please note parking is limited. Email jessica@cblandtrust.org to sign up. Biking group will meet at the 4-way and bike Woods Walk to Lower Loop (~3 mi beginner level). Hiking group will meet at the Oh-Be-Joyful campground and hike on the new trail (~1 mi flat beginner).

Sept. 23 = Artumn Festival and Vinotok - Lovers of fine arts and crafts will find a vast array of artisans and crafters displaying and selling their unique creations in pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home décor, furniture, home accessories, and photography. The annual celebration of the Fall Solstice, will introduce new and emerging artists showcasing the latest trends in handmade crafts and fine art. This event is located in the heart of Beautiful Downtown Crested Butte on the west side of Elk Avenue. The show is happening on a very busy weekend as it is the height of the Autumn Fall colors and simultaneous to the popular farmers market and also the Vinotok Fall Harvest Festival.
Sept. 27 = Peanut Lake/Lower Loop Trail Run 6-9 p.m. free,-Course: From 3rd & Maroon @ Totem Pole Park, Run with the High School Cross Country team out Peanut Lake Road and back on Lower Loop Trail. All entry fees and donations go to the Titan Booster Club supporting High School sports. Distance: 4 or 6 miles on single track trails, dirt roads and paved roads. Meet: At Totem Pole Park at 3 rd and Maroon Ave in Crested Butte. End of season pizza party to follow
Sept. 30= Crested Butte Ultra - 12-5 p.m. CB Community High School-Runners will be challenged by this high altitude course. Its wide open views will amaze runners as they traverse through the Gunnison National Forest. At the lower elevations, stunning wildflowers set against mountain backdrops will greet runners as they work their way up the course.
