June 20- Labor Day--- The River Bar at Garlic Mike's - Right next to the Gunnison - it is a beautiful place just north of Gunnison to listen to some music! And the Italian food inside the restaurant is the best! The River Bar is open every evening from 4pm begins summer solstice - June 20--through Labor Day. Pet friendly. Live music every Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Cocktails and light bar snacks at 4pm and lighter River Bar dinner menu at 5pm. Counter service only. After Labor Day: Fridays and Saturdays through the GRAND FINALE SEPTEMBER 30th!!

August 2 = Western swing music - Asleep at the Wheel - will be on the Center for the Art's stage. Doors 7:00pm | show 8:00pm -For over fifty years, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson has been traversing the globe as an ambassador of Western swing music and introducing its irresistible sound to generation after generation. More than 100 musicians have passed through the Wheel, but Benson remains the front man and the keeper of the vision, in the process racking up more than 30 albums, ten Grammy awards and literally millions of miles on the road.

August 7 = HCCA Hike- Horse Ranch Park Loop- 8:30-3:30 p.m. - A wonderful array of diverse landscapes greets us on this hike. From wetlands and beaver ponds to historic aspen trees and open views of the Raggeds Wilderness, this loop is a perfect hiking experience.

August 10 = Andy Nasisse and Richard Harrington Gallery Reception - You do not want to miss this showcase featuring two nationally renowned artists at the Center for the Arts.
August 13 = Summer Classics in the Courtyard: Miguel Espinoza Fusion Duo - World-class musicians Miguel Esinoza (guitar)and Dianne Betkowski (cello) invite the listener into a rich and colorful symposium of musical traditions at the Center.

August 14 = HCCA Hike: West Brush Creek- This creekside hike takes us gently toward Teocalli Mountain, whose shoulder provides a beautiful spot for lunch, with views into the Maroon Bells Wilderness.

August 22 - Wine tasting Fundraiser at the Crested Butte Library-Join the Crested Butte Friends of the Library this summer for wine tastings at the Queen of All Saints Parish Hall with local sommelier, Aaron Tomcak of Mountain Sports Liquor.
August 22,23= Karl Denson's Tiny Universe -at the Public House- 202 Elk Ave.-KDTU has electrified audiences around the world for over 25 years from the fields of Naeba in Japan at the infamous Fuji Rock Festival to the hallowed stage of Madison Square Garden where they previously joined the Dave Matthews Band and The Godfather of Soul, James Brown. From performing as Sexual Chocolate (Karl was in the original band in the movie Coming To America and its sequel) at the Outside Lands Music festival in San Francisco, to being the first late night act at the inaugural Bonnaroo festival, KDTU have been a dominating force in music for the past 25 years.
August 24-25, August 31 and Sept. 1: Macbeth - Firebird Theatre presents its Shakespeare in the park production of Macbeth at the Depot.
August 28 = HCCA Hike Oh Be Joyful- Our hike founder, Don Baker, loved to hike Oh-Be-Joyful at the end of each season. We keep with tradition, and hike up this beautiful valley in the Raggeds Wilderness to a lovely lunch spot with spectacular views. A perfect end to our 32nd season of HCCA Hikes!

August 31-September 1 = Paragon People's Fair - A non-juried arts and crafts festival hosted by the Paragon Gallery helping regional Colorado artists showcase their artwork
August 31- September 1 = Grand Traverse Run and Bike- The Summer Grand Traverse presented by Crested Butte Nordic includes a trail run from Mt. Crested Butte to Aspen and a mountain bike race from Aspen to Mt. Crested Butte.
