Expect funky, fun and good-natured laughter as people line Crested Butte's Elk Avenue at least four deep to take in the spectacle of the July 4th parade. Stick around downtown for live music, a food court, face painting and old-fashioned games.

The mission of the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival is to advocate for the preservation and appreciation of wildflowers. This festival began in 1986 through the efforts of a few insightful Crested Butte locals who envisioned a wildflower celebration in one of the most picturesque valleys in Colorado. The Festival has grown into a summer-long season of events with over 300 events offered by over 60 instructors, tour guides and volunteers. Come to Crested Butte to enjoy the beautiful scenery and don’t forget to bring your camera!! Throughout the festival, there will be an array of activities to please everyone. You can choose from 4x4 & van tours, hikes, art classes, birding & butterflies, botany & medicinal lectures, edibles, garden tours, walks, photography classes and much more! August 9 - CB Mountain Runners Paradise Divide Loop Train Run - The trails that have made Crested Butte world renowned for mountain bikers are also a haven for trail runners. From mid-May when the snows are receding through the summer when the wildflowers are breathtaking to the fall as the aspen leaves turn golden, the trails in the area always astound with their beauty.
Cancelled = Outerbike! Pick your pass. Choose between the Full Demo, BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike), or get the Social Card to just hang out and still be part of the fun. Decide what the best bike is. With the Full Demo pass, you get a card to check out the demo bikes. Repeat as needed. Whether it's a demo bike or your own beloved bike, put it to the test on the world-class trails. Take it for a spin on the trails close to the venue, hop on a shuttle to a classic Moab trail or make laps on the bike parks of Crested Butte and Sun Valley.

AUG 15, 9.00am Strawberry Crested Butte Mountain Runners Course: From Brush Creek road run the Canal trail to Farris Creek trail. Climb Farris and then drop down to the intersection of Strawberry trail. Run Strawberry over to Brush Creek road then return to the start via Death Pass and the Canal trail.

Cancelled - RMBL Historic Preservation Dinner - A celebration of history, this evening is an opportunity to enjoy a fine dinner at the beautiful Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Gothic. Afer diningin the Billy Barr Community Center, guests will tour the town site and RMBL's historic buildings, learning about its founding as a mining town and transition into one of the world's premier biological field stations. 4:30 – 6:00 pm – Appetizers

Cancelled = Bridges of the Butte - One unforgettable tour. Join us on June 29 - 30, 2019 for the 15th Annual Bridges of the Butte Townie Tour Presented by Bank of the West, a 24-hour bike tour that loops through beautiful downtown Crested Butte and crosses many of the town's bridges.
